Morgan Cooper holds the position of General Counsel with Memorial University of Newfoundland.
Mr. Cooper held the position of Associate Vice-President Academic (Faculty Affairs) from 2013-2015 and was Director of Faculty Relations at Memorial University from April 2008 to April 2013.
Mr. Cooper has been active in the local community throughout his career and has held the position of President of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador, having served eight years as an Elected Bencher of the Law Society.
Prior to his appointment at Memorial, Mr. Cooper was engaged in the practice of law with an emphasis on employment and labour law, including advocacy before administrative tribunals and courts, collective bargaining support and tactical and strategic advice to corporations. Mr. Cooper has held positions as Vice-Chair and Chair of the Labour Relations Board with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador for a combined period of five years. From 1994-2001, he held the appointment of Assistant Professor at Memorial’s Faculty of Business Administration. Mr. Cooper has also been a sessional instructor for the Faculty of Business since 2001 and has been active as a labour arbitrator throughout his career.
Morgan holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Memorial, a Master of Industrial Relations from the University of Toronto and a LL.B. from Dalhousie University.

Scott Worsfold holds the position of Associate General Counsel. He joined Memorial in September 2016 and has twenty years of legal experience, including experience in private practice and as in-house counsel with Walmart, Eastern Health and most recently, the City of Guelph. While in Guelph, he was a member of the Board of Directors and then Vice-Chair of the Wellington Law Association.
Scott completed his undergraduate and Master’s degrees at Queen’s University (B.A., M.Div.) and law degree at Dalhousie Law School (LL.B.). He has performed duties and responsibilities in a wide range of areas, including litigation, risk management, contracts, procurement, human rights and privacy. His practice includes advocacy before all levels of Court in Newfoundland & Labrador and in Ontario, as well as the Ontario Municipal Board, the Ontario Assessment Review Board and the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal. He was a sessional instructor with MUN’s Faculty of Business from 2001 to 2004.
Chris holds the position of Associate General Counsel (Research). He joined Memorial in March 2011 after having worked in private practice for 8 years. He has a B.A. (Hons.) degree from Mount Allison, a M.A. from Acadia, and a LL.B. from Dalhousie University.

Sheila Devine is the Education and Policy Officer in the Office of General Counsel. Prior to joining the office in 2008, she held a number of administrative positions at Memorial and other Canadian universities. She has a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education from Memorial University and a LL.B. from the University of Windsor.
