At its meeting on September 8, 2011, the Board of Regents adopted a Contract Administration Policy which is now in effect. This new Policy and Schedule of Review and Signing Authority for Contractual Obligations can be found at http://www.mun.ca/policy/site/policy.php?id=202.
The Contract Administration Policy covers the process to be engaged in when entering external contracts with individuals, institutions, business entities, agencies and governments. The Policy outlines the pre-conditions to enter contracts, the negotiation and review of contracts, privacy issues, contracts to be reviewed by the Office of the General Counsel, standard, recurring contracts, delegation and other matters. It should be noted that no employee shall commence the negotiation of a contract on behalf of the University without express or delegated authority.
