Book launch in Sheshatshiu
Labrador Institute staff travelled to the Sheshatshiu Innu School to launch the Innu-aimun version of Polar Bear in the Rock on Oct. 16. At the launch, project editor Martha MacDonald (pictured cutting a cake) read the book in English, alternating with translator Anne Nuna Rich who read the Innu-aimun version. Eighty children attended the launch. The event concluded with the sharing of two cakes decorated to resemble the cover page of the book.
