Fall flowersThe Women’s Association of Memorial University (WAMUN) will hold it’s annual fall house plant sale on Wednesday, Sept. 15, in the lobby of the Inco Innovation Centre. The sale takes place from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
The sale is an annual event which benefits WAMUN’s scholarship fund. The group offers eight scholarships annually; four at the undergraduate level and four at the graduate level valued at $1,200 each.
Undergraduate scholarships are awarded to each of the following groups: undergraduate students; children of full-time, deceased or retired faculty or staff; mature students; and single parents.
The graduate scholarship recipients are named as early as possible in the students’ programs and include awards to two PhD candidates and two master’s candidates

WAMUN welcomes all women associated with the university family and helps them to participate in university and community life. The group provides social and cultural activities for the members of the association and raises funds for scholarships for students at Memorial.
