Dr. George Marsten Schwarz
Passed away peacefully in Halifax on Nov. 15, 2009, after a brief
illness, George Marsten Schwarz, retired professor of history. Dr.
Schwarz joined the faculty at Memorial University in 1961, where he
would teach in the History Department for 29 years. At Memorial, he
was elected to the Senate, serving there for many years, and was
both proud and excited to be involved in the early growth of the
university.
Rennie Seymour Gaulton
Passed peacefully away on Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, surrounded by his
family, Rennie Seymour Gaulton, age 65 years, retired associate
professor of psychology and former university deputy marshal.
