The Tendering Section of Financial and Administrative Services is responsible for ensuring that Memorial University is at all times in compliance with the Public Tender Act and Public Tender Regulations.
We ensure that University departments consistently apply the Act to their particular purchasing function, reporting to the President on a monthly basis all exemptions made under the Act.
This section is also responsible for providing necessary training to departments on the complete tendering process to ensure compliance with the Act and assisting departments with specification preparation, electronic advertising of tenders, tender openings, tender evaluations and interpretation of the Act.
