Campus Enforcement and Patrol has been involved in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics for 10 years. The torch run is held every year in June in this area and consists of runners from different law enforcement agencies.
The torch run for the St. John's area starts in Kelligrews with a stop at the Conception Bay South town hall where a donation is given to the Special Olympics. The run continues from there to the Paradise community center where the runners and athletes have lunch provided by the town of Paradise. Another donation is received from Paradise. After the lunch break the run continues from the community center in Paradise to Mount Pearl city Hall and from there onto the Village Mall parking lot.
All money raised goes to the Special Olympics and this year Campus Enforcement and Patrol held it's own 5K run/walk in aid of the Special Olympics on May 29. We raised over $225 dollars with over 40 participants.
