Hazardous Waste Disposal
Safety and Environmental Services is responsible for the collection, transportation and disposal of hazardous laboratory wastes except biohazardous wastes.
For information on disposal of hazardous wastes, call 737-4393 or e-mail cboyd@mun.ca . To request hazardous waste disposal, complete the Hazardous Waste Disposal form and forward to Craig Boyd, Facilities Management.
Routine collection and disposal of hazardous wastes from teaching and research facilities is funded by Facilities Management.
In cases where major clean-ups or disposal of surplus stocks of chemicals are required, the requesting department will be responsible for funding.
