Asbestos Management
Maintenance and utility workers who are likely to encounter insulation or other building materials in the course of their work that contain asbestos receive training in asbestos recognition and control.
All work with potential for contact with asbestos-containing materials will be undertaken as outlined in the University Asbestos Management Plan (OHS Procedure No. 005) and the Provincial Asbestos Code of Practice.
All asbestos remedial and abatement work is carried out by a certified asbestos abatement contractor retained by the University.
