Elevator Trouble - Chemistry/Physics Building
To report a problem with an elevator in the Chemistry / Physics building, please call work control at +1 (709) 864-7600 with details of the elevator trouble.
Some information that may be helpful in troubleshooting the problem includes information such as:
- Is anyone trapped in the elevator?
- What floor is the elevator on?
- Are the doors open or closed or cycling open and closed?
- Any other details to help the technician find the problem.

Elevator problems are a high priority for Facilities Management; your message concerning the elevator will receive a very high action priority.
Response to an elevator issue may involve investigation by Facilities Management technicians, and/or may involve external contractors where the elevator issue involves a malfunction where the manufacturer's representative is required. We endeavour to have the elevator issue resolved within the hour, however, there are instances where this is not possible.
