Policy Summary

Policy:          Boiler and Machinery Insurance Policy

Coverage:  This policy covers direct damage to any property that is owned or in the care of the University and its SIEs which occurs as a result of a sudden and accidental breakdown of the insured's boiler and machinery equipment or any part of the equipment described in the policy. Some of the types of insured equipment are air conditioning and refrigerating systems, boilers, compressors, electric motors, generators, hot water tanks, pressure vessels, transformers, and electrical equipment used for distribution purposes.

 

 

Policy:        Property Insurance Policy

Coverage:  This policy insures against all risk of direct physical loss or damage.  It provides coverage for the property, extra and related expenses, loss of rent or rental value and Business interruption for buildings, equipment, etc. owned or leased in the name of the University and it’s SIEs.

 

 

Policy:        Comprehensive General Liability Insurance Policy

Coverage:  This policy provides for liability coverage against claims made against the University and its SIEs involving bodily injury liability, personal injury liability, property damage liability as well as professional and malpractice liability.

 

 

Policy:        Automobile Insurance Policy

Coverage:  This policy insures all vehicles including trailers owned by and licensed, or leased in the name of the University and its SIEs.

 

 

Policy:        Non-owned Automobile Insurance Policy

Coverage:  This policy provides for legal liability for bodily injury to or death of any person or damage to the property of others not in the care, custody or control of the University or its SIEs.  Coverage is for vehicles not owned nor licensed in the name of the University or it s SIEs.

 

 

Policy:        Fine Arts Insurance Policy

Coverage:  This policy provides coverage for collections of every description including display equipment and apparatuses, being the property of the insured or the property of others, which the University has assumed responsibility for while on display.

 

 

Policy:        Educational Errors and Omissions Liability Insurance Policy

Coverage:  This policy provides for liability coverage against claims made against the University and its SIEs involving errors or omissions in the rendering or failure to render professional services or because of a wrongful act.

 

Policy:        Travel Accident Insurance Policy

Coverage:  Liability coverage for accidents that occur involving students, faculty, staff, directors and representative of the University who may be traveling world-wise on University related business, research or academic initiatives.

 

 

Policy:        Catastrophic Accident Insurance Policy

Coverage:  This policy provides coverage in the event that an individual is severely injured resulting in paralysis or a coma.

 

 

Policy:        Comprehensive Dishonesty, Destruction and Disappearance Insurance Policy

Coverage:  This policy insures against loss of money or securities inside or outside the University involving employee dishonesty or other incidents such as forgery.

 

 

Policy:        Marine Equipment

Coverage:  This policy insures research equipment used on field trips and research equipment used in research and experimentation excluding current meter, waves recorders or similar equipment which is immersed into a coastal body of water or ocean and left unattached to the transporting or carrying vessel.

 

Policy:        Marine Hull & Machinery

Coverage:  This policy insures the listed/scheduled Vessels, including hull, tackle, passenger fittings, equipment, stores, ordnance, munitions, boats and other furniture, boilers, machinery and insulation, motor generators and other electrical machinery and everything connected therewith.
