Writer in Residence
A Warm Welcome to Don McKay, our Writer in Residence, Fall
Memorial’s Department of English and the Faculty of Arts are delighted to welcome two-time Governor General Award-winning poet and wilderness essayist Don McKay as Writer in Residence for the Fall 2006 term.
Don is looking forward to meeting with aspiring or experienced writers from Memorial as well as the greater St. John’s community.
Starting on September 13th, he will be holding open office hours in the Arts and Administration building, A2047, from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. every Wednesday, and he can be reached during that time at 737-8646 (see below for exceptions).
Feel free to drop in to discuss your creative writing (any
genre) or just to have a chat. You can also reach Don by leaving
him a message at 754-2154. He’ll get back to you to schedule
an appointment as soon as he can.
We are extremely fortunate to have such an accomplished author and dedicated teacher of the craft of writing with us for the term.
