Robert Priest, aka CBC’s Dr. Poetry
Robert Priest, also known as Dr. Poetry on CBC's
Wordbeat, has performed his exciting mix of songs and poems
all over the world. The author of 15 books of poetry and prose will
share his electrifying reading style at Memorial University.

Ruth Roach Pierson
Historian Ruth Roach Pierson taught European history at Memorial
in the 1970s before shifting to women's history and feminist
studies, and moving to the University of Toronto. In 2002, she
published her first book of poetry, Where No Window Was. Her second
book, Aide-memoire, will be released this fall.

Dr. Jane Urquhart, D.Litt.
Acclaimed poet, novelist and short-story writer Jane Urquhart
returns to the Memorial campus, where she once served as Writer in
Residence and, in 1999, received an honorary doctorate. She is the
author of acclaimed bestsellers such as Away, The
Underpainter and A Map of Glass.

Michael Winter
Award-winning author Michael Winter, whose latest novel The
Architects are Here has been garnering favourable attention
across the country, will read.
