- Comprehensive-Course Route (30 credit hours of study)
- Internship Route (internship plus 24 credit hours of study)
- Paper Folio Route (paper folio plus 24 credit hours of study)
- Project Route (project plus 24 credit hours of study)
- Thesis Route (thesis plus 18 credit hours of study)
Master of Education Degree Regulations
For students substituting or in replacement positions an official letter from the school district office/employer verifying work experience is required. The letter should indicate total number of teaching days accumulated. This is to ensure the two years work experience requirement is met for admission.
Students are required to apply online for any of our graduate programs.

If you are considering applying for educational leave in order to pursue a Master of Education program, you should first apply to the program. If you are not granted educational leave, but are accepted to the program, you can commence your studies on a part-time basis or request a deferral of admission.
Memorial University has three semesters per academic year commencing with Fall:

Semester start and other important dates at Cape Breton University may differ from Memorial's. It is the responsibility of students taking CBU courses to note the differing dates for course add, drop, commencement, end, etc.
