Return to St. John's: depart London August 5, 2013, Air Canada 823, at 1:00 pm, arrives St. John's at 3:10 pm

Admission

There are no prerequisites, and students from a wide range of backgrounds in the Arts (Folklore, Archaeology, English, History, Geography, Linguistics, Medieval Studies, Political Science, Sociology) have taken the programme. Students from the Sciences (Biology, Psychology, Nursing, Computer Sciences) as well as Business and Human Kinetics have also participated. The instructors assume that most students will have had little background experience with the programme topics, and, thus, all students are welcome.

Application

Students who wish to participate in the programme must complete an application form which can either be downloaded from this site or obtained from Jerry Pocius (864-8366 or gpocius@mun.ca) or Chris Sharpe (864-8984 or casharpe@mun.ca). The deadline for applications is 15 November, 2012.  Students accepted for the programme will be required to pay a $300 non-refundable deposit by 30 November.

Costs

Tuition fees for courses: Paid to Memorial University as usual.

Programme fee: The programme fee for the English Cultural Landscape programme is $4200, which includes the initial deposit of $300. The balance of the programme fee ($3900) is due the first day of classes, May 6th, 2013. This programme fee covers return airfare, transfers to and from Heathrow Airport to Harlow, six weeks accommodation at Harlow, five weekly evening meals, approximately twenty field trips, entrance fees for the field trips, lunches on field trips and a Student Rail Card.
