Thesis Title:  Sm-Nd and U-Pb isotope geochemistry of monazite from the Sweetwater Wash and north Piute plutons, Mojave Desert, California

Supervisor:  Dr. John Hanchar

Research Interests:

I have broad interests throughout igneous geology.  My B.Sc. dissertation at the University of St. Andrews involved mapping and geochemistry of a Tertiary mafic ring-dyke complex in order to understand its petrogenesis, evolution, and emplacement mechanism.  Since moving to Canada to undertake my M.Sc. my focus has shifted to felsic systems, with an interest in the geochemistry of accessory minterals and what they can tell us about the formation and history of plutons.
