Liquid Chromatography – Mass Spectrometry (LC / MS)
This instrument is an Agilent 1100 series LC/MSD . The MS detector has electrospray or atmospheric pressure chemical ionization capability with a mass range of m/z 50-3000 and a mass accuracy of 0.1 amu. The chromatographic system is equipped with an on-line solvent degasser, binary solvent delivery system, autosampler and UV-Vis diode array detector. A selection of chromatographic columns is available.

Gas Chromatography – Mass Spectrometry (GC / MS)
The centre has a HP 5970 GC/MSD . The chromatograph is equipped with electronic pressure control and split/ splitless and on-column injectors. The MS detector is normally operated in positive EI mode but CI option is available. The mass range is m/z 50-800. A selected number of capillary columns are available.
