I graduated from the University of Windsor and completed my doctoral residency in Clinical Psychology at the Student Wellness and Counselling Centre (SWCC) in Memorial University of Newfoundland. In addition, I have a Master’s in Family and Couples’ therapy. My passion is helping individuals and couples to not just manage their symptoms or their relationship, but to flourish, grow, and to be more at peace with themselves. The residency at Memorial University provided a wonderful opportunity for me to accompany both individuals and couples in their journey toward attaining deeper awareness and well-being. My time at the SWCC was very rewarding and it provided ample learning opportunities. For instance, I received high quality supervision for my individual and couple work, which encouraged me to develop my own therapeutic style. Moreover, I had the opportunity to supervise PsyD students, to facilitate several groups, to participate in inter-professional work, and to engage in various outreach activities. I am so grateful I was matched here! I have felt very supported throughout my residency and have built life-long friendships. My life changed from not even knowing where Newfoundland was, to falling in love with “The Rock”. So much so that I’m staying here and will soon start a position within Eastern Health.
