The MUNCLASS Classification and Retention Plan is the official model classification plan and standard retention and disposal schedule for the organization of records across the University. It includes a classification framework to organize physical and electronic records in university offices, consisting of eleven functional areas.
Each MUNCLASS function contains a series of Retention and Disposal Schedules (RDS) for record classes that fall under that function. These RDS allow for the legal destruction of Official University Records. MUNCLASS draft RDS are currently undergoing review and approval. As RDS are approved, they will become available for use on this webpage.
