Undergraduate students

Since CCLAS began filming in November 2004, undergraduate student team members have been central to the project and some have gone on to do graduate work with us. Undergraduates are selected from among those doing either a major or a minor in linguistics; excellent transcription skills, as well as an interest in working with Cree data and in learning to use software are a prerequisite of the job.

Working in the Linguistics Language Laboratory, each student who joins CCLAS undergoes a period of training to introduce them to the software, the procedures, as well as to the basics of the Cree language.
