C&C to deploy desktop management solution for St. John's campus

The Department of Computing and Communications (C&C) is pleased to announce a new project aimed at offering improved PC support for our clients on the St. John’s campus. This coming fall, C&C will begin rolling out Microsoft’s System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) as a PC management system for office computers and laptops.

What this means?

For our clients this means improved response times for PC-related issues, better remote support, as well as a better managed and more secure computing environment.

Want faster service?

C&C will be able to remotely assist you with many common PC-related issues while on the phone rather than having to wait for a technician to visit your office.

Having trouble keeping software up-to-date?

C&C can ensure you receive the latest updates available for your operating system as well as most common office software you may be using, all without C&C visiting your office.

Worried about viruses?

Proactively patched and up-to-date computers are less susceptible to viruses and other malicious software threats.

Can't always answer our questions about your hardware and software?

SCCM will maintain hardware and software inventories that will take the guess work away and let us access the correct information as we speak.

SCCM is already at other universities across Canada and C&C is looking forward to availing of its functionality to better serve the university's rapidly changing needs.
