Sunday Seminars at the Conservatory

Session #1:
March 22:  Vermicomposting at the Bowring Park Conservatory
J
oin Joy Barfoot, Education Assistant of MUN Botanical Garden on Sunday, March 22, 2 – 3:30 p.m. to find out about worm composting (vermicomposting).  
Joy will be at the Bowring Park Conservatory to demonstrate how to set up a vermicomposter, identify materials that are needed, what to feed the worms, and how to maintain and harvest the compost.   It’s as easy as playing in the dirt!  Please meet in the Bowring Park Conservatory. 

Session #2:
March 29: Pruning with the City of St. John’s Arborist
 Join David Evans, Senior Municipal Arborist, City of St. John’s, on Sunday, March 29, 2 – 3:30 p.m. for an introduction to pruning.   David will be at the Bowring Park Conservatory to talk about why we should prune, identify some necessary pruning tools and demonstrate how to prune properly.  Please meet in the Bowring Park Conservatory. 

General Admission fees will apply:  Adults:  $4; Seniors:  $3; Students:  $2.  *Free for Members of the Bowring Park Foundation and Friends of MUN Botanical Garden .
