2012 JUNIOR NATURALIST CAMP SCHEDULE:
Half-Day Program:
(Suitable for children who have completed grades K - 2)
- Camp #1: Date: June 25 - 29.
- Camp #6: Date: July 30 - August 3.
- Camp #9: Date: August 20 - August 24
Times: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
(Parents may drop-off children at 8:45 a.m. & pick them up by 1:30 p.m.)
Full Day Programs:
Camp #2: Date: July 2 - 6.
(Suitable for children who have just completed grades 1 - 3).
Camp #3: Date: July 9 - 13.
(Suitable for children who have just completed grades 2 - 4).
Camp #4: Date: July 16 - 20.
(Suitable for children who have just completed grades 1 - 4).
Camp #5: Date:July 23 - 27.
(Suitable for children who have just completed grades 1 - 4).
Camp #7: Date: August 6 - 10.
(Suitable for children who have just completed grades 1 - 4).
Camp #8: Date: August 13 - 17.
(Suitable for children who have just completed grades 3 - 5).
Times: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
(Parents may drop-off children at 8:45 a.m. and pick them up by 4:30 p.m.)
Age-appropriate activities are arranged for each camp. The program offers children an opportunity to explore Newfoundland natural history through nature hikes, exploration, activities, games, crafts and adventures. A respect for nature and all its “critters” is emphasized. These camps are suitable for children who enjoy exploring nature and being outside (no matter what the weather) and who can focus quietly on an activity or craft for a period of time.
