Food ‘n Garden Fair ~ Celebrating Ken Proudfoot’s Legacy
When: Saturday September 28, 2013, 11:00 am – 4:00 pm
Where: MUN Botanical Garden, 306 Mount Scio Road St. John’s
Cost for the event: Entrance to the Garden is free for the day, however, donations will be gratefully accepted.
Cost for Tasting Tickets: Passes for the food tasting are $20 and can be purchased online by registering below or in-person at the Garden. A maximum of 300 passes are available. Each pass includes 4 tickets, one for each of the food stations as well as the recipes. For those purchasing online, passes can be picked up at the registration desk at the Garden on the day of the event.
Northeast Avalon Economic Regional Development Board (NEAREDB) and MUN Botanical Garden have assembled a group of like-minded organizations to re-establish the Potato Festival event to continue to honour Ken’s Proudfoot’s legacy as a research scientist, potato breeder, avid gardener and a Friends of the Garden member.
