Ryan is studying the regulation of GTA gene expression in R. capsulatus.

Yunyun Fu
PhD student
Yunyun is studying GTA-producing bacteria from Arctic environments, and also the role of these bacteria in important biogeochemical cycles. She is co-supervised by Dr. Richard Rivkin at the Ocean Sciences Centre.

Alex Hynes

Alex is studying prophage induction in R. capsulatus and the relationship between prophage and RcGTA production.

Yanyan Huang, PhD Student
Yanyan is working on avian influenza in wild birds in Newfoundland and Labrador. She is co-supervised by Dr. Hugh Whitney, the Chief Veterinary Officer for the province.
