Further Information

How will the move of BIOC 2901 to the Winter affect you?

• Hopefully not at all! However, we do recognize that this change could impact course sequences for some students this year only. Students with issues with this change should contact our program officer at bcadvice@mun.ca who will help you navigate this change.

How will the absence of BIOC 3206 affect you?

• Students who were planning on doing Biochemistry 3206 in the Fall or Winter should do Human Biosciences 2003 (Basics of Human Metabolism) instead.

How will the absence of BIOC 4210/11 and  BIOC 4502 affect you?

• Students who were planning on doing Biochemistry 4210/11 or 4502 in the Fall should do Human Biosciences 4800 (Capstone in Human Biosciences) instead.

How will the offering of Biochemistry 4242 in Spring 2024 affect you?

Students considering this course should contact one of the course instructors in the fall or early winter to express their interest.  This will aid the instructors in planning.

• This course can count as a specified biochemistry elective in Biochemistry(Nutrition) programs, Biochemistry Major and Honours programs and Biochemistry (Nutrition) and Psychology (Behavioural Neuroscience) Joint Honours program.
Course Description: This course will be offered at Memorial’s Harlow campus in the UK. It begins as an intensive two weeks of field trips to various sites near Harlow, including nutrition and food research institutes and food production facilities, to address the themes Farm to Fork Food Systems; Food, Nutrition and Health; and Modern Nutrition Research.
