B.A. Second Language Requirement

B.A. CORE REQUIREMENTS - Spring 2012

A student must complete 6 credit hours in courses in a single language other than English, or demonstration of equivalent competency in a second language. This requirement may be met by the completion of two courses in languages such as French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Innu-aimun, Inuktitut, Italian, Irish Gaelic, Japanese, Latin, Mandarin Chinese, Russian, Sanskrit, or Spanish, or other languages that may be offered from time to time.

The following courses applicable to the B.A. 2nd-Language “Core Requirement” are scheduled to be offered in the Spring 2012 semester:

INTERSESSION (MAY 7 - JUNE 20)

  • FRENCH 1500-001: Introductory University French I
  • FRENCH 1502-001: Introductory University French III
  • SPANISH 1001-001: Elementary Spanish II

SUMMER SESSION (JUNE 25 - AUGUST 8)

  • FRENCH 1501-020: Introductory University French II

SPRING SEMESTER (MAY 7 - AUGUST 11)

  • FRENCH 2101-056: Intermediate French II

Please note that the two courses used to meet this requirement must be in the SAME second language.
