Campus Card Use

  • ID: Your card includes your name, student number, library number, and photo. It is the only piece of identification you require to access campus services. You are required to present your campus card when writing any final exam.

  • Library card: Your campus card provides library access so you can borrow books, reserve material and book study rooms.

  • Access to The Works: To access fitness facilities at The Works, you are required to present your campus card.

  • Photocopies: You can use your campus card for photocopying. After loading money on your card online or through a cash manager machine (click here for cash manager locations), you swipe your card through the card reader on the photocopier and the amount is deducted from your campus card account.

  • Laser printing: There are various laser printers located throughout the campus that are equipped with readers that accept your campus card.

  • Electronic door access: There are several buildings located on the St. John's campus that require the campus card for electronic door access. Access is granted by using the magnetic stripe or proximity technology of the card.

  • Food purchase: You can use your campus card to purchase food and beverages at Treats in the University Centre food court.
