Dr. Beverly Diamond is the Canada Research Chair in ethnomusicology at Memorial and the director of Memorial’s Research Centre for Music, Media and Place (MMaP). She helped organize a national conference on Indigenous Music and Dance as Cultural Property: Global Perspectives, which took place May 1-4, 2008, in Toronto.
