New Interdisciplinary Masters in OHS

September, 2018 will be the start date for Memorial University’s new Interdisciplinary Master’s in Occupational Health and Safety (MOHS) Program.

The MOHS program is the first in Atlantic Canada and only the fourth in Canada. It builds on strong multi-disciplinary and multi-faculty expertise at Memorial University and responds to clear demand both within the province and elsewhere from potential students and potential employers of future graduates.

The program is designed as an explicitly interdisciplinary program. Designed for students with undergraduate degrees in a variety of fields as well as for graduates of the Safety Engineering Technology Post-Diploma of the College of the North Atlantic, the new MOHS program will provide students with the analytic frameworks and up-to-date knowledge that can serve as a basis for future advanced academic study or for higher-level professional careers in regulatory agencies, industry, government, and stakeholder organizations.

Applicants must have a completed bachelor’s degree in a related science or social science field and may take the program on a full-time or a part-time basis. There will be a special fee of $10,000 for the full program in addition to the regular tuition.

For more information, about registering for this program, contact Andrew Kim, School of Graduate Studies, at akim@mun.ca.
