Rescheduled: Burin Peninsula Thriving Regions Workshop #2

The second workshop for the Burin Peninsula Thriving Regions Partnership Process, scheduled for February 12th, was postponed due to inclement weather.

The workshop will now take place on February 20th, from 12pm to 3pm.

The location remains the same: the event will occur at the Student Lounge, College of the North Atlantic, Burin Campus. 

Presentations will be given by 3 recommended researchers on their project ideas, and those in attendance will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide suggestions and feedback:

  1. Marie Louise Aastrup & Simone Cominelli: "Culture, Nature and History: Identifying Sustainable Tourism Opportunities for the Burin Peninsula."
  2. Eric Ignatz: "Protecting Atlantic Salmon Aquaculture Production from Climate-Related Challenges Through Diet Manipulation."
  3. Dr. Maria Lopez Gomez & Dr. Christine Knott: "Community Based Sustainable and Equitable Employment in Aquaculture on the Burin Peninsula."
