Register Today! Transportation in Life, Work and Play: The Movement of People To, From and Within Atlantic Canada
May 19 & 20, 2015 at the Holiday Inn St. John's
People spend an increasing amount of time, energy and money in getting from one place to another, whether in their daily commute to work, in long-distance commuting, or for recreation, education, healthcare or other reasons. The transportation patterns used to design our systems were certainly quite different from current patterns. This means, unfortunately, the transportation systems were built decades ago and are not designed, or no longer capable of, meeting today’s needs.
This day-and-a-half conference will look at how we can adapt and enhance the transportation systems within Atlantic Canada to improve the experience of people who travel to, from and within the region.
The conference will focus on 4 main themes:
1. Economic and Policy Aspects of Transportation
2. Atlantic Canada in the Global Economy
3. Transportation for Life, Work and Play
4. Social and Equity Aspects of Transportation
