Read the Report: COVID-19 Island Insights Series: A Critical Assessment by Harris Centre Employees Bojan Furst and Meghan Eibner

The COVID-19 Island Insights Series is an initiative led by the Strathclyde Centre for Environmental Law & Governance (SCELG) and the Institute of Island Studies (IIS) at the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) in collaboration with Island Innovation, a global network that connects island stakeholders through digital communication and events.

The series brings together critical assessments of how specific islands around the world experienced  the COVID-19 pandemic, and how they are preparing to reocver, especially in terms of long-term resilience and sustainability.

Every two weeks, Island Innovation plans to release COVID-19 Island Insights Series from two different islands. This week focused on Iceland and Canada, specifically the provinces of  Newfoundland and Labrador and Prince Edward Island.

The piece on Newfoundland and Labrador was researched and written by Bojan Fürst, Manager of Knowledge Mobilization at the Harris Centre, and Meghan Eibner, the Harris Centre's Researcher and Policy Analyst.
