MUCEP Course

Fall 2021 Course Offering

During the Fall 2021 semester, all MUCEP students are eligible to register for the FUSION Skills Development course. During the semester, and in conjunction with their MUCEP work, students will complete the FUSION course online using Brightspace, Memorial's learning management system.

It is estimated that the course will take approximately ten hours to complete, on average. While the course has a suggested schedule to help students plan their completion, the course is self-directed and offers students flexibility to complete the course modules.

Course Objectives

The course will help students:

  • Identify and define complex problems related to their MUCEP work.
  • Develop new skills and select appropriate strategies to solve work-related problems.
  • Plan for continued growth towards professional goals based on personal assessments of their progress during the work experience.

Additional Benefits

  • All MUCEP students that complete the FUSION course will receive a $150 stipend. The stipend will only be received by students that complete the course in full.
  • Students will be able to have completion of the FUSION course recognized through Memorial University's Online Record of Experience (MORE).
  • Opportunities to attend additional career development workshops that will help identify and articulate skills to future employers.

Registration

Any MUCEP student that wishes to complete the FUSION course can register by contacting the course facilitator. Please note that space is limited, and registration will be completed on a first come, first serve basis.

Once the course is full, students will be put on a waitlist and notified if a space becomes available.

If you have any questions regarding the FUSION course or registration, please contact the FUSION course facilitator.
