Rapid testing

Campus availability

Memorial offers rapid COVID-19 testing to asymptomatic staff, faculty and students at the St. John’s, Signal Hill and Marine Institute campuses. Grenfell Campus has issued its own communications on rapid testing.

Starting on Monday, June 13, rapid testing at the Student Wellness & Counselling Centre will be by appointment only for individuals currently working or studying at the university. Walk-in rapid testing will no longer be offered. Appointments can be made by calling 864-8500. Individuals will be asked for their student/employee number when making their appointment and screened for COVID-19 symptoms.

Students with COVID-19 symptoms requiring medical care or testing can contact the Student Wellness and Counselling Centre directly at 864-8500 to schedule an appointment or utilize the Public Health online self-assessment and testing referral tool to schedule a testing appointment. Employees with COVID-19 symptoms requiring medical care or testing should contact their family doctor or utilize the Public Health online self-assessment and testing referral tool to schedule a testing appointment. Individuals living on campus in Student Residences should follow direction given to them by Student Residences in relation to rapid testing.

Questions on Memorial’s rapid testing program can be directed to the rapid testing clinic at 864-8500, option 3.
