Dr. John Shirokoff is an associate professor in the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Memorial University in St. John's, NL, Canada. He received his B.Sc. and Ph.D. in metallurgical engineering from Queen's University (Kingston, ON). He was a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign, IL, USA) and a research engineer at the Research Institute of King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (Dhahran, Saudi Arabia) prior to joining Memorial University.
