Summer Symposium 2012

The 2nd Annual Biochemistry Summer Symposium, held on August 17, 2012, showcased the work of 8 graduate students with oral presentations and 8 undergraduate students with poster presentations. We had a total of 45 registrants this year and welcomed Dr. George van der Merwe from the University of Guelph as the Keynote Speaker. All the presentations were excellent and stimulated a great deal of interesting scientific discussions and interactions throughout the day.

Students were awarded prizes based on their excellent presentations as judged by faculty and postdoctoral fellows (graduate presentations) and graduate students (undergraduate presentations). Awards were provided by Life Technologies (Invitrogen).
