Leadership takes courage. The courage to try, the courage to trust, and the courage to speak the truth.

Courageous leaders aren’t fearless people. They’re individuals who’ve developed the tools to embrace ambiguity. Courageous leadership is the ability to remain calm under pressure and meet failure, risk, challenges and limitations head-on while also inspiring courage in others.

That’s why we have chosen Portraits of Courage as the theme for this conference.

The word ‘courage’ is derived from the Latin noun cor, meaning “heart.” It takes strength of heart to be vulnerable, to live authentically and to develop a strong sense of purpose. Each of us has a reservoir of courage that runs deep in our heart just waiting to be discovered.

Courage is a critical skill we all need if we are going to successfully lead others during these times of volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity.

Join us on March 2, 2023 to learn more from courageous female leaders including activist and advocate Elizabeth Smart, Indigenous fashion designer Sage Paul and world champion Olympian Perdita Felicien.
