MUN Junior Band Week is a fun summer music experience held at the School of Music annually in mid-July. The week is geared towards band students that have between 0 and 4 years of playing experience. That’s right, no experience necessary! We will give them a great head start for the fall. Students on brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments receive private lessons, and present their music in master classes, full band rehearsals, and chamber groups. Students are placed in ensembles appropriate to their level of experience. This full day camp is perfect both for students who are gearing up to begin band in school and for those who have a few years of experience playing an instrument. The week culminates in a public concert in D.F. Cook Recital Hall. Dates for 2014 are July 14 to 18.
