Memorial meditates

Each weekday, Memorial meditates group leader, Yvonne Collett, holds a brief introduction beginning at 12 noon to familiarize newcomers to the process of meditation. At 12:15 p.m., meditation begins. We simply sit in silence. You can sit on one of our mats on the floor or you can sit in a chair. Those familiar with meditation arrive a few minutes before 12:15 p.m for the sitting.

Moksha Yoga St. john's

Weekly community meditation classes led by Buddhist Stephen Vardy. Held at Moksha Yoga St. John's, 223 Duckworth Street, in the Dharma Room.

All levels and ages welcome! No experience necessary. Meditation classes offer a blend of Dharma circle to begin and end the class, seated meditation, walking meditation and proper technique. The teachings integrate Vipassana, Shambhala and Tibetan forms with insights from Mahayana Buddhism and Yoga.

The class offers instruction and guiding for the mediation and no experience is necessary. A fee of $10 and $8 for students and seniors



"Mindful Mondays" at the Family Life Bureau

"Mindful Mondays" is located in the Basilica's Parish Offices, the recessed entrance to the left of the Basilica's main doors, and to the right of the Basilica Museum entrance. "MIndful Mondays" is a combination of sitting meditation and walking meditiation.

The St. John's Shambhala Meditation Group

The St. John's Shambhala Meditation Group is part of Shambhala, a global community of urban meditation and rural retreat centers founded by Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, and further developed by his son and lineage holder Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. The group meets at the ball house of Billy Rahal Field where we offer a variety of programs, including meditation instruction for beginners, regular sitting meditation on Wednesdays and Sundays, periodic teachings and training workshops, and in depth Buddhist and Shambhala programs, including the Heart of Warriorship levels I - V and The Sacred Path. The Lotus Centre

Initially created by Meranda Squires, encourages personal practice and spiritual community. The Lotus Centre provides services in yoga, meditation, chanting, mind clearing communication techniques, Thai Massage, Natural Health and Vegetarian Cleansing Diets and state-of-the-art Enlightenment Intensive Retreats.

Samarpan Meditation

A simple way of meditation which connects us with Universal Consciousness, taught by His Holiness Shree Shivkrupanand Swami, a living Divine Master from India. Samarpan Meditation is a practice which unites us with Universal Energy by awakening our Kundalini Energy, the part of the Divine that is in each one of us.
