Employee awards and recognition
Exemplary employees have contributed to Memorial's success since the university's inception in 1925. A significant portion of employees have been with Memorial for 20, 30, even 40 years. It is because of hard working employees that Memorial is leading in research, teaching and service contribution in Canada and the world.
In 1986, a formal employee recognition program was developed to celebrate service contributions to Memorial.
Subsequently, annual President's Awards were developed to recognize distinguished teaching, exemplary service, outstanding research and exceptional community service.
Aristotle proved the whole is more than the sum of its parts and Memorial is a perfect example of that adage. What we can achieve together far outweighs the contribution any one of us can make in isolation.
