Science Atlantic Aquaculture & Fisheries and Biology Conference
Memorial University hosted the Science Atlantic Aquaculture & Fisheries and Biology conference on March 9-11. This conference is held at one of 14 universities in Atlantic Canada each year and celebrates the research undertaken by undergraduate and graduate students across Atlantic Canada.
This year, 115 faculty and students attended, and 73 students gave oral and poster presentations. Four undergraduate students (Allison Ford, Emily Hurley, Katrine Jade Petritchenko and Olga Trela) as well as two graduate students (Robyn Knight and Ethan Armstrong) from the Department of Biology gave excellent presentations.
Several other students helped with various aspects of conference organization and proudly represented our department.
Congratulations to Allison Ford for receiving the Botany Award for her oral presentation!
