Note Taking - September 24th at 2:00 - 3:00 PM
Taking notes with LiveScribe, Apple Pencil, Notability, and Evernote can all be a helpful resources to support your studies and work life. They offer similar organization assistance, transcription, and audio recording.
Read & Write Gold - September 26th at 1:00 - 2:00 PM
A Text-to-speech and speech-to-text program which operates through a taskbar for use with a wide variety of documents, programs, and for web browsing. This program is excellent to use when reading, researching, and writing assignments.
Kurzweil - October 1st at 2:00 - 3:00 PM
Kurzweil is primarily a text-to-speech program that can read many formats such as PDF’s, word documents, the internet, or scanned documents. Kurzweil is helpful for extended amounts of document reading and improving study skills.
Extensions / Apps - October 3rd at 1:00 - 2:00 PM
Both Chrome browser and tablets / smartphones have a variety of free extensions and applications that can be an excellent low-cost option for many folks. A large selection of these available extensions and apps will be demonstrated.
Mind Mapping - October 8th at 2:00 - 3:00 PM
Inspiration and MindNode can help users brainstorm and organize ideas through visual displays such as brainstorming webs, list outlines, and maps.
Dictation - October 10th at 1:00 - 2:00 PM
Dictation covers a wide variety of speech to text software and apps such as Dragon, Otter, Google Docs Dictation. Dictation can be used to scribe notes, ideas, essays, and more.
