Using assistive technology during tests and exams

Want to know more about assistive technology in a testing environment? We will go over what technology we have at the Blundon Centre (Kurzweil, Read & Write, and Dragon), what to expect from the technologies, and how to best use these programs for testing. This session is both for those who already use assistive technology for tests and those who are interested in trying it out.

This session will cover assistive technologies that can be useful when studying, writing essays, and taking notes. It will include mind mapping software for brainstorming and idea production, the study features of Read & Write, and Livescribe organization and recording features.

If you are looking for some low-cost or no-cost ways to increase productivity, this is the session for you. We will be going over methods using Livescribe to write papers and keep yourself on track, along with various notetaking applications, and Google Chrome extensions.
