Time For You

The Time for You campaign is all about you - your school, your play, and your well-being. It’s about helping you find time in your busy schedule for what’s important - you! Various events have been planned to help you discover your learning style, ideas to increase your play, and opportunities to help improve your well-being. Events will be taking place from February 13 – March 27, 2019.

Time for Play

Explore your playful side and take some time from your busy schedule to just relax!

Wellness Fair
Come learn more about fun outdoor activities from a representative from the City of a St. John’s Recreation and Parks Department to keep you moving. Games and puzzles will also be available so come work on a puzzle or have a game of Operation and relax. And don’t forget, the puppy dogs and popcorn will be there!

Happy Documentary
Join us for the movie Happy, Thursday, March 7, 2019! Come learn more about human happiness and current findings of positive psychology. There will be free popcorn.

Time for Wellness

Time for Wellness is focused on easy things you can do to reduce your stress and anxiety as you go into the exam period.

Taming Test Anxiety Workshop
Join Student Learning Accessibility Advisor Beth Ryan as she presents useful and helpful information to reduce test anxiety.

Green Mindfulness
Uses gardening/plants to create a space for students to come socialize, meet people, relax and develop introductory mindfulness skills. The goal of this group is to have students be present in the moment with the help of a plant-based activity.
Location: Science Building lobby

Time: 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
This is a drop-in event and is free and open to all students, staff, and faculty.

Mindfulness Minutes
Is an activity that will help students be present in the moment. Students are encouraged to pay particular attention to their five senses and how engaging those through the activity can help them be present, reduce their stress level in the moment and increase their feelings of calmness.
