Inclusion Projects

Welcome to Student Life's Inclusion Projects!

We have exciting new projects that highlight inclusion and accessibility that will be of interest to everyone.

ASL using sign language

ASL Workshops

The Blundon Centre is proud of it's collaboration with the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of the Deaf (NLAD) to develop an 8-week American Sign Language (ASL) course. Participating students had the opportunity to learn an introduction to ASL and to increase their knowledge of the Deaf culture and community.

This workshop series, offered for the first time in 2020 and again in 2021, played a key role in advancing inclusion and accessibility at Memorial University and in our community.

The recordings for each week are available below. All staff, faculty and students are encouraged to engage with the material.
