Workplace Research Unit (WRU) Projects

Project Title

Atlantic Network for Research on Workplace Health

Summary

The main objectives of this project were to support networking and knowledge transfer across groups and provinces and to support the development of interdisciplinary and intersectoral collaborations involving researchers, trainers, clinicians, practitioners and regulators in the field of occupational health and safety research and training in Atlantic Canada. Other aims were to develop a strategic plan for promoting occupational health and safety research and training in the region and to encourage collaboration with other specialized prevention networks being developed by the Atlantic Network for Prevention Research in order to integrate workplace-based prevention into broader prevention initiatives. The network was intended to include individuals who were involved in, or interested in being involved in, research and/or training in a wide variety of areas related to occupational health and safety.
