Creating Sections and managing Menus can be the hardest part of building your Site Builder website.

Only local administrators can create new sections/folders or link pages in Menus, because on local adminstrators have access to an "admin" tab in their Site Builder menu.

If you are not a local administrator, you will need to ask a local administrator to create new sections or menu links for you. (If you do not know who is a local administrator for a site, contact us to find out.)

In the Admin tab, Sections is where you create a new section/folder for your website. Menus is where you connect pages that you've created in those folders to your site's navigation areas.

In this area of the Site Builder User Guide, you will learn how to:

1. Create a new section,
2. The importance of creating an index page for that section
3. How to link a page to your main menu or your submenu as a left-hand link

There are two types of menu items:

• Main navigation menu items
• These are items that appear in the top level of your main menu navigation bar and usually make up the main navigation of your site. (the highest level)

• Submenu items
• These are items that appear as left-hand links on a main section page

Before you can do any linking, however, you must first create a new section on your website.

Common menu issues:

• Left side menu items won't delete
• Main navigation menu items don't appear
• Left side menu doesn't appear
