Applying for Funding

Preparing a funding application proposal, whether for a grant or agreement, can be a complex and time consuming process. Like any form of writing, it is iterative, requiring careful planning and drafting of your application or contract. It also involves careful mapping out of financial needs and potential expenses in a budget. Putting together a proposal often entails documentation of commitments and contributions, as well as statements of support from collaborating partners, institutions, and researchers. Proposals go through various stages which move your research project from an idea to a funded and supported scholarly activity.

Submission of your application is the last stage. It involves various departmental, faculty, and institutional reviews designed to ensure your proposal adheres to varying regulations and requirements. Most are completed using Memorial's Researcher Portal.
For more information see submitting your proposal.
