Administration and Finance, Grenfell Campus

(Contractual Position to March 30, 2018, with possibility of extension)

Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Administration and Finance, the successful applicant will perform responsible professional accounting and financial duties within the Administration and Finance Division of Grenfell Campus, with responsibility for ensuring the integrity of financial plans and operating budgets for Grenfell Campus of Memorial University.  Duties include monitoring financial plans and processing budget adjustments where required; assisting with the timely processing of financial claims associated with various funded projects; developing cost estimates; ensuring all appropriate costs are charged to project cost centres; preparing analytical reports; tracking in-kind contributions; coordinating with departmental administrative staff and Academic Deans to ensure financial plans are on track; conducting analysis and preparing recommendations based on trends, patterns and anomalies; developing, recommending, implementing and maintaining financial and administrative processes to support effective financial management and regular reporting on the business operations; assisting generally with the financial administration of Grenfell Campus, ensuring that policies and procedures are followed and financial standards are maintained; and performing other related duties as required.

Considerable experience (3-5 years) at a management level in public administration, business, education or related field; graduation from a four year college or university with a degree in business or related field, supplemented by completion of a nationally certified accounting designation; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Required competencies include analytical thinking, planning and organizational abilities, and strong interpersonal communication skills.

SALARY                                   $57,146 - $77,923 per annum (Management and Professional)
