Michael Scott - All Canadian Award 2016-17

Michael Scott, a full-time student athlete and Faculty of Education graduate, is one of 39 Memorial students who received a U Sports Academic All-Canadian Award for the 2016-17 academic year.

Mr. Scott, who was a member of the university’s varsity cross-country running team, graduated with a Bachelor of Physical Education in the spring of 2016 and is currently teaching.

The Academic All-Canadian Award goes to full-time student athletes who have maintained an 80-per-cent average or higher while playing on one of the university’s varsity teams.

The 2016-17 Academic All-Canadians were honoured at a ceremony held earlier this month at the Human Kinetics and Recreation building where they received a certificate from U SPORTS presented by Memorial’s president and vice-chancellor, Dr. Gary Kachanoski.

A full list of the students who received the award can be found here.
